I first came across the Cody the Crab ocean projector when visiting a friend’s newborn. It was so relaxing and soothing I had to buy one of my own.
Since, I have found my little one’s nursery one of the most peaceful places in our home. The projector has calming blue lights that create a motion of waves and ocean sounds. The 3 step sleep setting adjusts the lights and animation from moving waves and little orange fish, to moving waves, to still, then safely automatically shutting off. Each interval is 10 minutes long reinforcing wind down and bedtime routines.
There are options of melodies including heartbeat or gentle lullabies but the ocean soundscape is by far the best I’ve come across- so smooth and not abrasive like white noise machines. There is also a cry function that activates to settle your little one if they wake. The projector itself run on 3 AA batteries and is super cute that it blends seamlessly into nursery decor without being an eyesore or clunky.
For our little one who had colic this projector has been a savour for us and our sanity as it brought us all the peace and calm needed on those tougher nights!
Highly recommend to any new and experienced parents. Will be gifting to all friends and family with babies on the way!
