Shipping and Returns


All orders are dispatched from our store and warehouse located in Melbourne CBD. We use a variety of couriers including Australia Post, Sendle and Couriers Please.

Shipping for large items (including prams, nursery furniture etc)


We ship to most postcodes in Australia. If we cannot fulfil your order due to your postcode, you will receive an email within 48 hours for a credit note or refund. 

Once the item has been fulfilled, we will not be able to amend any shipping addresses. 

Shipping for large items

Large items may take at least 4 business days to be delivered. Large items must be shipped to a physical address and cannot be shipped to a parcel locker or PO Box. There must also be someone present at the premises or it will be sent to the nearest collection point. 

Please note $29.99 shipping charge is for each large piece of furniture/pram. If you are ordering more than 1 large item, we ask you to place seperate orders.

Shipping for gift cards

Metrobaby provides free shipping for all printed gift cards. 

Products which require pre-orders

If you have purchased items available in stock with pre ordered items, they will be shipped when the pre-ordered items have arrived. If you would like to send them separately, please 1 order for readily available items and another order for the pre-order items. 

Availability of products

Most items on our website are readily available at our warehouse and will be shipped within 1-2 business days of the order. If there is a delay in stock (7 business days or more), our sales team will contact you via email or phone. 

Please note that delivery for nursery and larger items may take longer than 7-10 business days, we will inform you accordingly. 

There may be a delay in your order over busy periods such as sale and Christmas periods. 

Express shipping

Express shipping is available upon request and will be calculated based on the size of the shipment. 

Delivery to hospitals located within Melbourne metro areas is also possible by one of our friendly team members. If you require urgent/immediate shipments of items within Melbourne metro areas, please email and we will try to accomodate your request.

Delivery support

Metrobaby is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are successfully delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer.

If you did not receive your package, please contact Metrobaby within 10 business days of the order being sent. No claims will be recognised after 10 business days. 


Metrobaby does not accept returns or exchanges on the below items:

  • Feeding Accessories
  • Breast Pumps
  • Bathing and Accessories
  • Diapering accessories (including nappies, change pads nappy bins and potty seats)
  • Pacifiers 
  • Mattresses and cot accessories
  • Baby carriers
  • Large nursery items - including cots and change tables
  • Prams

Exchanges must be completed within 10 business days of receiving the goods. If you would like to exchange, please ensure you present the receipt and all items are in their original condition, un-opened and not used. We require all packaging items to be included as well as any outer boxes. If you would like to do an exchange, please email our sales team at
