Shipping

All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Melbourne. We use a variety of couriers including Australia Post and Couriers Please.

Shipping for large items (including prams, nursery furniture etc)

We ship to most postcodes in Australia. If we cannot fulfil your order due to your postcode, you will receive an email for a credit note or refund.

Once the item has been fulfilled, we will not be able to amend any shipping addresses. 

Shipping for large items

Large items may take at least 3 business days to be dispatched. Large items must be shipped to a physical address and cannot be shipped to a parcel locker or PO Box. There must also be someone present at the premises or it will be sent to the nearest collection point. 

Shipping to Western Australia/Non Metro locations

There may be additional fees (in addition to the bulky item charge) to remote/rural areas and Western Australia. If there is, an email will be sent to notify the recipient of any additional charges. If the recipient is not willing to pay the additional charges, we will refund the order. 

Gift cards

Metro Baby is currently only offering gift cards via email. 

Products which require pre-orders

If you have purchased items available in stock with pre-ordered items, the order will be shipped when the pre-ordered items are ready to be fulfilled. If you would like the in-stock items to be sent first, please separate your orders.

Please note that the pre order date is an estimated date of arrival. We are not able to guarantee that it will arrive at this date due to delays with shipping and COVID. 

Availability of products

Most items on our website are readily available at our warehouse and will be packed/dispatched within 2-3 business days. Please note, we do not ship items over the weekend or on public holidays. If there is a delay in stock arrival (3 business days or more), our sales team will contact you via email or phone. 

Please note that there may be a delay in your order over busy periods such as during sales or over Christmas. 

Express shipping

Express shipping is available upon request and will be calculated based on the size of the order.

Delivery support

Metro Baby is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are successfully delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer.

If you did not receive your package, please contact Metro Baby within 10 business days of the order being sent. 

If you have provided an incorrect address, the item will must be returned to us and we will then dispatch it. There will be an additional cost to redeliver the items. Once the order has been dispatched, we are not able to make any changes to the order address. Metro Baby is not responsible for packages which have been dispatched to an incorrect address advised by the customer.

Returns

Metro Baby does not accept returns or exchanges on the below items:

  • Feeding accessories
  • Breast pumps and breast feeding accessories
  • Bathing
  • Diapering accessories (including nappies, change pads nappy bins and potty seats)
  • Pacifiers and pacifier related products 
  • Mattresses and cot accessories
  • Baby carriers
  • Large nursery items and accessories - including cots and change tables
  • Prams
  • Baby bouncers
  • Playmats and rugs
  • Items on sale/promotional price
  • Maternity/Compression garments
  • Car Seats
  • Trampolines
  • Items with seals broken or items not in the original packaging
  • Items ordered via NDIS

Returns must be completed within 10 business days of receiving the goods. Please ensure you present the receipt and all items are in their original condition, un-opened and not used. We require all packaged items to be included as well as any outer boxes.

Requests for returns must be emailed to info@metro-baby.com.au for approval.

A credit note/refund will be provided for the item price less shipping costs (if applicable). A re-restocking fee of 20% will apply.

We do not accept refunds for pre-order items, unless the advertised expected date has already passed and the item(s) have not yet been dispatched.

Online purchases must be posted back to us via Australia Post, shipping fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.

If items are returned and do not meet our return requirements, the item will be sent back to the purchaser at their expense. 

Orders paid with Afterpay will only be eligible for a store credit, not a refund.

Orders made via an affiliate partner will have the affiliate commission amount deducted from the refund amount.
